First things first: Badminton is way fun.

So I was thinking recently about the string of high school and NYU students who were my babysitters. One of the first, for the end of pre-school and kindergarten was a girl named Theo Kogan who became the lead singer of a band called the Lunachicks. I always knew that she was in the lunachicks, but my only experience with them was a patch on a girls backpack in high school and a piece in a local paper about theo wearing a dress that was just her body wrapped in electrical tape.

So I did some research. It turns out that the Lunachicks are a little bit famous, theo has modeled and even been in movies. She is even friends and co-mermonarchs with Moby. Seriously. According to the Village Voice, her 2004 new years resolution was "To start smoking and drinking heavily." My babysitter is a pretty hot badass with cool Tattoos. She also cleans up nice.

That stuff was pretty cool, but the kicker is this: So this girl was my babysitter, entrusted with my care and making sure I got to watch tennage mutant ninja turtles, and this is the Lunachicks debut album, released a few years after she left my parents employ.

I think my first album will be entitled "Your kids have guns and I'm drunk as shit"
